scandinavianfurnitureplans.com is the Internet part of the company ZIBIZ Furniture Design & Production. On this site you can find plans for furniture, which you can make yourself. I have designed the furniture myself or some of my close designer friends have. All of the furniture are tested out models, where the designers have made the first prototypes themselves.

All the furniture on this site are deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition believing in simplicity and functionality. The construction of the furniture is a part of the sculptural expression, and surplus elements have been removed. This manner of working with design brings out pieces of logical furniture that are lasting in more that one sense.

The idea with scandinavianfurnitureplans.com is to develop a live and active site, where people interested in furniture and others with inclination of working with wood can find information and inspiration for their own projects. Plans can be bought of course - in digital or paper format in order for you to be able to make your own pieces of furniture. The intension is also, however, that the site can function as an active communication centre for discussions of design and furniture craftmanship.

Zibiz Furniture Design & Production has worked on developing furniture for all kinds of purposes for 15 years. Some of the furniture have been designed in co-operation with designers outside the company in order to fulfil specific customer needs while others have been developed for serial production for the private home and institutions.

Consultancy, development work and prototypes have always been a central part of the Zibiz working field, and the company has been consultant for various companies and educational institutions.
